Ego Shall Plough

Amidst the murky cloud of ego,
The sun almighty is treated low.
An arrow works not without a bow,
A pastry is not without dough.

Wrath and hatred fill my heart, though;
Affected are my friends and foe.
Temptation, I cannot say no,
When my soul’s spirit signals go.

O wisdom, guide my conscience now.
Friendship’s sake, I cannot break a vow,
My honest heart, still does not allow,
Forever it takes,
Field of love, my friendship’s ego shall plough.
